Granddaughter

Thursdays have become the day of the week I take care of Granddaughter. Last Thursday she, her Gapa and me had some fun.... that girl loves to play Peek-a-boo and gets the cutest giggles.

She was hiding behind the stroller to play Peek-a-boo

Here I am....she indicates.

In her bathing suit for her swimming lessons....

"look at me" I kept saying....wanted to get a front on pic of this cute
Sunflower coverup.

"not looking at you Grammy, you have a flash in your hand"
...no cooperation at all......

So fun.......and today we are back with her.

Hope your Thursday will be as fun as ours.

Good Will Wednesday

Good Will Hunter hasn't had much luck with great finds lately. He was getting discouraged. Yesterday he found a nice piece of Waterford crystal at a good price. It's not an item we 'need' or will use so maybe we can sell it......I'm not getting married (again) so don't need it as a cake topper, nor want to second hand it as a gift to a marrying couple. But it is pretty.

I am not good at photographing crystal glass...just doesn't work for me.  This is the best I could do:

Have a good Wednesday all.

You Make Me Smile....Layout

I've never done a layout of just my son. He dislikes having his picture taken and (still) tries to get out of it.  On Easter I sat in front of him and told him I wanted a picture of just him. He proceeded to make funny faces and I told him I was going to keep snapping pics until he gave me a good smile. I think it only took 6 - 8 snaps and I got a great picture of him showing his great big wonderful smile.

I used my Gypsy and the Cricut cartridge "Celebrate With Flourish" to design the blue star burst edged paper. The sunshine is cut from that same cartridge. The font is the cartridge "Sanrio-Hello Kitty Font". The word "Laughter" is a rub on I had in my stash. I hand cut the tiny eyes and mouth smile on the yellow sunshine. He's not a boy now but that just seemed like fun to use on this layout.

I made a pocket on the back of the yellow cardstock for some hidden journaling. The cardstock that slips in and out has the orange ribbon at the top. Basically the journaling talks about his aversion to having pictures taken when he was younger and what he'd do to sabotage my efforts.

Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a good Tuesday.

Tiptoe Thru The Tulips Layout

Frank from Simple, Easy, Creative Scrapbooking asked me to be his May Guest Designer and I feel honored he asked me and happy to do so.  If you are visiting here from his blog, Welcome, and want to see only my Paper Artistry please scroll down on the right and click on "Scrapbooking".

The three layouts that will be featured on Frank's blog are of one theme: The Tulip Fields daughter, granddaughter and I visited on April 22, 2011. Seeing acre upon acre of blooming tulips is truly inspiring and beautiful. You can see my post about that day trip here if you wish.

For this layout I wanted to feature my granddaughter amongst the tulip rows so I choose three photographs.  The tulip cutouts on each side of the photos were cut using my Cricut cartridge "Walk In My Garden".  The fonts are cut using the cartridge "Disney - Pooh Font Set". I used my Gypsy to design the placement of and cut out the tulips.

At the top you see four strips of cardstock. Each edge is punched using either a Martha Stewart punch or an EK Success one.

To be honest with you...the actual layout has her name on it but being I don't share names on my blog I added that "Granddaughter" piece so there is not a blank spot on the layout for this post.  Her name is done in the same cardstock combos as the Title on the left side. Each letter is pink with the yellow shadow.

Doesn't this layout just make you glad for spring?

Thanks for looking and being a follower. I like knowing you are out there.

Being a Guest Designer

                                                                 Happy May Day

It is sunny here today and as soon as the temperature gets above 50 I will be out in the gardens pulling weeds.  Right now it is 35 deg....too cold for me.

I was asked and agreed to be a Guest Designer by Frank at Simple, Easy, Creative Scrapbooking. I am happy to be his May Guest Designer. Frank inspires me constantly with his creative and simple (yet fabulous) Paper Artistry.

So if you have come here from his blog, welcome. If you want to see only my Paper Creations scroll down on the right and choose the category: Scrapbooking. (I also blog some of my family life, doings, and precious Granddaughter.)

Have a good Sunday all and make it count.
