My Hero of the Week is.....

MY DAUGHTER. Having prepared her mind and body for months to achieve a natural childbirth, and laboring with strength, dignity and patience for 37 hours to do so.....doctors said "your baby cannot come out that way". Quick change of birth plan: consultations, private time with her Hubby, acceptance with grace, prayers said, off to surgery, and a beautiful healthy baby girl was born.

Daughter, baby and Son in-law are home and recovering. God Bless them.

The Story:

In the Beginning: Hour 8

Doula helping with Back Labor pain: Hour 24

A few minutes of rest after Epidural administered: Hour 37

Son In-law off to join Daughter in surgery room: Hour 39

Their Beautiful Daughter born:

We are truly blessed!
Have a good day.

Grandbaby and Me @ 63

Yesterday was my 63rd birthday and I got to hold my present. Such a heartwarming time. She was sucking on her lower lip. The noises, faces, stretches; everything babies do is cute and amusing. We do fall in love very quickly.

Daughter said to me "I have your present; just haven't wrapped it." I told her she gave me one and it's wrapped in a blanket.

Hubby hasn't held her yet. He's not afraid of babies...just doesn't rush into anything, unless there is a true emergency; he's the instant responder. I appreciate that.
well back to the baby.... speaking of that; we will be going to the hospital again today. I want to see how daughter is doing and all. And of course hold the baby...hehe.
We have daughter's dog here with us and Baci is having a good time. She loves to roam our big back yard. Dog psychologists say the dog should be in 'her' home when the baby arrives....Baby is a visitor then; not an intruder.
Bye for now and have a good day.
